Teachers' twilight training session. Following on from our hugely popular pottery & ceramics INSET last year. This session will have a practical focus on techniques for textiles with a professional artist from the region. Open to all Art and Design and Design Technology teachers in Basingstoke. This symposium will be of interest to anyone who wants to keep abreast of the latest advances in practice and thinking about contemporary crafts.

Introduced by Professor Sir Christopher Frayling CBE, Chair of the Arts Council England. Speakers included artist potter Emmanuel Cooper OBE, designer-maker Thomas Heatherwick, materials scientist Dr. Mark Miodownick, Director of Craftspace Touring Deirdre Figueiredo, sculptor Sokari Douglas Camp CBE, digital craftsman Olivier Geoffroy, and leading branding consultant Jane Wentworth.
